Buckley For Sheriff - Campaign Kickoff

Ever since I was a child, I have known exactly what I wanted to do — serve in law enforcement. I have often said I am one of the lucky ones because I never had to wonder what my purpose was. This profession has always felt like a calling, and every day I am honored to serve alongside the dedicated men and women who protect and serve Howard County.

Today, I am humbled to share something I have dreamed about since the day I was sworn in as a Deputy Sheriff. After careful thought and conversations with those closest to me, I am officially announcing my candidacy for Sheriff of Howard County.

This decision was not made lightly, and it certainly was not made for the wrong reasons. Instead, it was made from a strong sense of purpose and a belief in continuing to move the Sheriff’s Office forward. Together.

I am honored to have Sheriff Jerry Asher serving as my campaign chairman and Ron Metz as my campaign treasurer. Their support is invaluable, and their leadership, experience, and integrity are second to none.
